WE BELIEVE

Every immigrant woman should have equal opportunities to decent work

As an impact elevator of Canadian workforce development, our mission is to connect immigrant women with career and personal growth opportunities offered by socially driven organizations.

Immigrant women’s double penalty: Being a woman and an immigrant

Immigrant women take more than 5 years to fully integrate into the Canadian labor market due to various barriers. Over 60%, even after 5 years, still struggle to find decent work that aligns with their international experience and education.

HOW IHS WORKS

InHeartSight Community (IHS) brings together employment and entrepreneurship service providers, employers and equity-centered initiatives, leveraging technology and community support to accelerate transitions to a better life and decent work.

As our name suggests, we share our insights and the heart is at the centre of everything we do. We come from a place of empathy, caring, and understanding. We recognize every woman’s accomplishments and courage to start a new life in a different country. We know the value of having a community to help us find our path.

OUR GOAL

To fast track every immigrant woman's employability and inclusion in Canada

OUR PILLARS OF DEVELOPMENT

1

Every immigrant woman deserves equal access to opportunities

Barriers should be eliminated and equitable distribution of opportunities should be ensured to enable immigrant women's full and effective participation at all decision-making levels.

2

Every immigrant woman can be a champion leader of social change

Immigrant women possess the power to be influential advocates and catalysts for positive societal transformation, helping amplify unheard voices and meaningful impact within the community.

3

Career and personal development should work hand in hand to advance careers and individual growth

This interconnectedness fosters self-awareness,

self-leadership and resilience, preparing individuals for the rapidly changing world.

4

Decent work serves as a pathway toward better lives for individuals and sustainable national economic growth

Decent work not only enhances individual well-being but also family and community well-being.

5

Achieving inclusive Canada requires a united community effort and innovative human-centric technology

Collaboration among socially driven stakeholders is pivotal in driving the systemic changes needed for a more inclusive society.
